WHDFAS has funded a £1,600 Welcome Mosaic Project undertaken by pupils at Bell Farm Primary School in Hersham under the direction of mosaic artist, Sue Edkins. A design competition held at the school in the Summer term 2015 produced a great number of interesting ideas which have been developed by the artist into a circular design. The making of the mosaic was a collaborative enterprise involving children from years 3, 4 and 5; it was completed in the Autumn term and officially unveiled by the Mayor of Elmbridge in October 2015.

WHDFAS made a £350 contribution to the cost of running snowflakes-making workshops aimed at younger children attending local schools. The paper snowflakes made by the children were used in the Snow Queen Christmas 2015 Exhibition that coincided with a theatrical production of The Snow Queen at the Riverhouse Arts Centre.
