NADFAS Young Arts Groups
NADFAS Young Arts Groups provide 8-18 year olds with a broad range of opportunities to engage with the arts.
Young Arts activities include:
- working with arts professionals
- developing skills in researching, presenting, time-management and team-work
- museum guiding
- entering the NADFAS Chairman's Competition
Some Young Arts participants also have the opportunity to become accredited by the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.
If your NADFAS Society would like to develop a Young Arts Group, email volunteering@nadfas.org.uk
Join a NADFAS Young Arts Group
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn through the arts, and make particular efforts to engage with children and young people from a wide range of faiths and backgrounds. If you want to join a Young Arts Group, do a postcode search to find your local NADFAS Society. Societies marked with YAG have a Young Arts Group.
Start a NADFAS Young Arts Group
Young Arts Groups are run by volunteer teams. Initial funding and on-going support is often given by the local Society.
NADFAS Young Arts School Groups
School Groups are usually based in a primary school and involve either a particular class or art club. Local Societies provide support and financial sponsorship to help with the art activities of the Group. Each Group is run by a small team, usually found by the school, and the organiser of this team forms the link between the Group and the local Society.
NADFAS Young Arts Museum Groups
Young Arts Museum Groups are run by a museum, usually through the Education Department. The Group meets for art workshops at least six times a year.
