A group of 18 Heritage Volunteers from a number of Societies came together for a Study Day on arms and armour. David Edge, Head of Conservation and Armourer at the Wallace Collection hosted the group and gave two fascinating talks. The day focussed on the craftsmanship involved in making the pieces and the importance of conserving them, providing plenty of opportunity to handle the historic items.
