The Arts Society Burghley

The Arts Society Burghley is a small, friendly society with just over 100 members. It was formed in 2010 as the Burghley Decorative and Fine Arts Society thanks to the extreme dedication of Annette Beeton.

We meet in the Burghley Room of the William Cecil and coffee is available from 10:15.

Our Chair Dr. Janet Clarke and the committee strive to offer an interesting and varied programme of 9 lectures each year between September to June. As optional events and at an additional cost we offer either a Study Day or Special Interest Morning, and also excursions. This year’s trips will include a visit to King’s and Queens’ Colleges, Cambridge and Blenheim Palace. Information about our future lectures can be found by scrolling down the page.

The membership fee is £65.00 per annum and our year begins in September. Existing members are asked to renew their  subscription before 31st July.

If you are interested in joining our waiting list, please contact the membership secretaries by email: burghley@theartssociety.org. We will invite you to meetings as a guest and when there is a space you will be able to join. The guest fee is £10 per lecture.
