We are a small, friendly society offering an interesting and stimulating series of nine lectures from September to June. Come along and meet us - you will be made very welcome.  

We are welcoming new members now ahead of our lecture programme which begins in September. The membership fee is £65. If you would like to join please email Belle or Fiona our membership secretaries: membership@theartssocietyburghley.org.uk and they will send you a form to complete.

We meet in the Ballroom, Stamford Arts Centre, 27 St. Mary's Street, Stamford, Lincolnshire PE9 2DL.  There is step free access to the Ballroom from the side door on St. George's Square. Please note that the pin on the map on this page is not correct. Stamford Arts Centre is on the corner of St. Mary's Street and St. George's Square. Lectures are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10:45 with the exception of December when we meet earlier in the month and this year our lecture will be on 2nd December in 2026.  

As optional events and at an additional cost we offer either a Study Day or Special Interest Morning, and also excursions. Our Special Interest Morning this year is "Women of the Renaissance" by Sarah Dunant on 21st April 2027. Sarah is a very popular speaker with our society members.
