Falmouth 'takes a bow'

Falmouth 'takes a bow'

7 Oct 2022

Recently, twenty five members ‘took at bow’ at the Hall for Cornwall during an exclusive behind the scenes tour.  Cornwall's leading theatre and arts venue closed in June 2018 for a huge refurbishment programme which saw the 175-year-old Grade II* listed former City Hall taken back to its bare bones and completely rebuilt. Three years and £25m later, the curtain was raised on its larger capacity, better cafe and bar, and more public spaces.  By the end of a two hour visit there was little of the building TASFers hadn’t seen - from the backstage dressing rooms to the balcony seats right up at the top of the auditorium. Seizing the moment, everyone took to the stage for a curtain call .  Visits organiser, Phil Boddy, said that it had been a superb experience and expressed the hope that TASF can repeat it next Spring.
