Under the Articles of Association, elected Trustees (excluding officers) are required to retire after serving three years.  They may offer themselves for re-election, provided they have not already served for two terms.
There will be five vacancies on the Trustee Board at the AGM 2024 which will be held on 23 August 2024. Interested applicants who are members of local Societies were invited to submit their nomination. 
The deadline for nominations to be submitted to the Company Secretary was 13 June 2024.

Nine valid nominations were received by the deadline. Candidate statements are avaialble to view in the Resources Area here.
Information on how to vote and candidate info has been sent directly to Society voting representatives. Voting will take place online via the Civica Election Services platfom.

Voting will close on 8 August 2024 with the results announced at the AGM on 23 August 2024.

Candidates must be aware of the legal responsibilities involved in Trusteeship and must act in the interests of The Arts Society as a whole, not those of any particular section.  Society Chairmen are encouraged to discuss any nominations with the Chair, Chief Executive or Company Secretary.

Those interested in standing should be aware that Society Chairmen or members of Area Committees cannot at the same time serve as Trustees and would have to relinquish these appointments if elected. Serving Trustees cannot nominate candidates for Trustee Elections.

Candidates should ensure they read the supporting information and nomination information provided below. It is the responsibility of candidates to ensure they are eligible to be a Trustee and that the correct and complete information is submitted. Incomplete or incorrect nominations may be rejected. 
Candidates' information and responses to the questions on the nomination form will be shared with voting members.
