This Area Day at Brockholes will offer plenty of time to circulate, catch up with colleagues and enjoy a pleasant lunch, alongside hearing the latest news from The Arts Society. At the centre of the day will be our main speaker, the new CEO of The Arts Society, Ian Arnold, who will share his thoughts, priorities and plans for the future of the organisation.
You will also have the opportunity to meet the new Vice Chair of the North West Area, Max Clay. Barbara Booth (North West Area team) will talk about the forthcoming Day of Special Interest on the 27th March with Marc Allum, and Sarah Claydon from The Fylde Arts Society, will share her experience of office marketing.
The programme will be completed by short presentations from four newly accredited northern lecturers: Guy Lawson on architecture, Andy Hughes on popular music, Alan Silman on how illness has influenced artists and their work, and Susan Wood on painters and contemporary glass. There will be further chances to circulate during breakout groups and informal discussions, making this a valuable and sociable day, particularly for society committees.
