TAS Beaconsfield Aquarium Collages
TAS Beaconsfield Aquarium Collages
26 Apr 2024
Following the lily pad collage session on 4th April, the second session at Bradbury House care home was held on 17th April. It was quite different! There were more participants, partly because the previous collage was hanging on the wall outside. The theme was an aquarium and several of the residents who came to the activities centre not intending to paint saw the bright coloured paints and interesting shapes and joined the activity. Some were very creative and others enjoyed doing something they hadn’t done since they left school. It was interesting watching the decision making processes: which shape to select, which colours to use, some enjoyed single colour sponging and others wanted to create more elaborate designs. Some made definite colour choices while others wanted frequent approbation. One lady said she wondered what David Attenborough would think about it!
Everyone was delighted with the results and they managed to create 2 collages such was the output!
The two collages together with the lily pond collage created during the first session will be on display for members of TAS Beaconsfield to enjoy.
Val McFarlane and Sarah Dawson of the Society are extremely grateful to Shelley Rees of Creative Mojo for all her preparation and creativity enabling them to share in such a joyful morning.
