Our society brings people together through a shared interest in and appreciation of the arts. The Arts Society Lunesdale was formed in 2003 and draws its members from the areas of North Lancashire and South Cumbria around the River Lune, which include Lancaster, Carnforth and Kirkby Lonsdale.
Our events provide welcoming places to hear expert lecturers share their specialist knowledge about the arts. The Arts Society Lunesdale offers its members ten lectures a year, as well as a full range of Special Interest Days, day trips to stately homes and galleries, and longer trips to places of artistic interest in the UK and abroad. It draws most of its speakers from the excellent pool of Arts Society lecturers but also occasionally calls on distinguished local experts on topics of special interest.
Our members contribute to and preserve our artistic heritage through volunteering and grants. We believe our work helps promote a better, healthier and more connected society.
The Art Society Lunesdale prides itself on its friendly approach and new members are always welcome. Please contact our membership secretary if you are interested in joining us.
