Dear Members

The Arts Society Jersey are pleased to announce that it has arranged a special event for it’s members to visit the Royal Court and States Chamber in the Royal Square on the morning of Saturday, 15 March 2025, and, in the afternoon, a tour of some of the significant buildings and statuary in the Town.

• The morning visit provides a rare opportunity to encounter the impressivearchitecture and view the significant number of accomplished paintings, as well aslearn about the history and inner workings of the Royal Court and States Chamber.

  The visit starts at 10.00am and members should gather in the Royal Square by thestatue of George II. The visit will last approximately two hours.

  There will be a break for members to have lunch following the Royal Court/StatesChamber visit.

The afternoon tour of the Town will commence at 1.30pm and will last for two hours. The tour will take in some of the noteworthy buildings and statues in St Helier, in addition to being informed of some of the important history attached to the Town. Again, members should gather at the statue of George II at 1.30pm for the commencement of this tour.

The tours will be led by a qualified Blue Badge Guide, Paul Nicolle.
