No - Markenfield Hall is not any old stately home. The Hall is a substantial moated manor house dating from early1300s. One of UK’s oldest continually inhabited historic buildings it remains owned and occupied by the Grantley family since 1761 - and, being just south of Ripon, it's on our doorstep!
This beautiful family home in immaculate condition is only open in summer months by appointment, and we have managed to secure a private visit for 20 people
The superb website is HERE and is worth a vist to learn much more. Especially to learn about its well documented fascinating history HERE.
