Discover Cornish Mining Heritage at this UNESCO World Heritage site situated on the fabled Great Flat Lode.
During our visit to King Edward Mine our Guide will show us the impact Tin Mining had on the landscape and residents of Redruth and Camborne.
We will chart the history of the rise and fall of the Engine Houses and see how steam and electric equipment was invented and developed over the ages of Tin Extraction.
Our Guide will take us down through the Tin processing buildings and demonstrate the settlement equipment in action.
The tour will last approximately 2 hours - Please note site is quite safe but strong sensible foot wear is recommended. There are some steep flights of wooden stairs but an alternative route is available for people finding these difficult to manage.
Following our Tour you could have lunch or Coffee and Cakes etc at the excellent Croust Hut Cafe ( at own additional cost).

10.15am Our Guided tour will commence.
