Join award-winning cartoonist, Harry Venning for an insightful journey through the world of cartooning.

Join award-winning cartoonist, comedy writer, and performer Harry Venning for a humorous and insightful journey through the whimsical world of cartooning. Best known for his witty and sharp illustrations in publications ranging from Mathematics Today to Radio Times, Harry will peel back the layers of his profession, revealing both its charms and its challenges.

In this lecture, Harry will share his experiences with topics such as rejection, the agony of meeting deadlines, the impact of artificial intelligence on cartooning, and the camaraderie that exists within this quirky community. Along the way, he’ll also explore the lighter side of procrastination and professional envy, all supported by visual and verbal contributions from cartooning giants like Matt Groening, Dr. Seuss, Charles M. Schulz, and Gary Larson. Expect laughter and contemplation in equal measure as you delve into the artistry behind the punchlines.
