Located in the Mall Galleries, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters’ Annual Exhibition brings together nearly 200 portraits by more than 100 artists. Free curator tour of Ivon Hitchens: The Painter in the Woodsat the Garden Museum (30 May, 3PM)

Known for his semi-abstract, rich landscape paintings, Ivon Hitchens delighted in painting the changing habitats of his Sussex gardens. This summer, a new exhibition at the Garden Museum focuses on the works he created after leaving London in World War II. The Garden Museum is offering Arts Society Members a free tour of the exhibition, led by curator Eleanor Black. Taking place on 30 May at 3pm, the tour will bring to life Hitchens’ creative endeavours. The book your place, email
