Combined Truro Schools Art Project 2020
12 Feb 2020 - 15:28 BY JB
15 Years is a long time ….
….. but that is how long the Combined Truro Schools Arts Project (CTSAP) has been running. Every year, it brings together five local schools in a shared and cooperative programme of special art workshops and activities. And for the second year running the chosen venue for the CTSAP’s final exhibition is Truro Cathedral and runs until 23rd February.
Each year the project has a theme, and this this year it is: Bringing the Outside Inside. On the opening night, it was clear that the students positively engaged with the theme expressing their creativity in different techniques and media, as well exploring the theme in different directions
The exhibition was opened with a few words from the schools highlighting the achievements of their students to an audience of proud parents who could see not only the individual contributions but the collaborative result of the joint project.
The Combined Truro Schools Arts Project is such a brilliant concept with very different schools choosing to collaborate on an arts project, with obvious benefits which enrich teachers, students, and the general community alike.
So if you find yourself in Truro in the next few days, do go along to the Cathedral and see the current exhibition!
Here's to the next 15 years of fruitful collaboration.
