Zoom!  We have decided that, as it is now impossible to hold our November lecture in the Civic Hall in Uckfield, because of the continued threat of the covid virus, to instead use the services of Zoom. Those of you not familiar with Zoom don't worry, it is very easy, all you have to do is use the internet to get connected, just follow the instructions and it is free!

The lecture by John Ericson promises to be a really good one and is entitled 'Inn Signia Pub Signs - Art Work and Stories behind their names.' It should be great fun as he takes us through the history and culture of our pubs and how they have changed over the years. It will of course be accompanied by lots of pictures but will be shorter than usual as Zoom only caters for an hour.  Consequently John will talk for 3/4 of an hour whilst we leave the rest for introductions and general information..

Now the very important thing is we need to know how many of you will be taking advantage of this? This is so we can invite you to participate in the meeting - you cannot simply decide to " come along on the day ". Please let me know asap as we will be holding rehearsals before the date just to make sure everyone is managing the system.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Annette Shelford.
