The Arts Society Blackheath Young Arts Film
30 Jun 2023
In 2020, the children of year 2 Baring Primary School in Lewisham started making an animated film, "Endangered Animals", with the support of the Arts Society Blackheath. Their Young Arts Representative at the time, a professional artist, went into the school and helped the children with their drawings and at the end of it, turned their drawings into a film with an animator. The children were to provide the voiceovers in the film. Lockdown started just as the film was due to be completed and the soundtrack made.
Fortunately, the same children were still in school when lockdown ended and were able to finish the film at the beginning of this year. The Arts Society Blackheath is delighted with the finished film and very proud of the artists of Baring Primary School.
The Arts Society Blackheath have also supported the school with the purchase of art materials such as paper, colouring pencils and paint.
