Hertfordshire Church Recorders Discover Incorrect Roman Numerals

Hertfordshire Church Recorders working to identify the many saints in a window by FC Eden uncovered a mistake in the depiction of Louis IX of France. Around the figure's neck is a collar of shells and double knots with a medallion hanging from it. This was confirmed as denoting the French order 'L'Ordre de St Michel', bearing an image of St Michael killing a dragon. However, further research revealed that the order had in fact been founded by Louis XI almost 200 years after the death of Louis IX.
