Welcome to The Arts Society Lavant Valley
The Arts Society Lavant Valley was formed in 1985 and is based in Chichester. Our members are drawn from the city itself and a wide surrounding area.
Our yearly programmes of visits, lectures and Special Interest days, together with our support for Young Arts and volunteering, are planned to reflect the aims of The Arts Society as an organisation ’widely acknowledged for its valuable contribution to arts education and heritage conservation’.
The belief that the arts are essential to enriching people’s lives will always be at the very heart of who we are.
We are a very friendly and welcoming society which meets in the historic Assembly Room, Chichester at 2.00pm on the second Tuesday of every month from October to June. We have a varied, interesting and stimulating programme of lectures given by leading experts in their fields on all aspects of the visual arts and architecture, sometimes linked to music, drama and literature.
