The Arts Society North East Essex celebrated its 25th anniversary at Firstsite, Colchester on Thursday 19th September with a colourful lecture on Grayson Perry. This was followed by a glass of fizz and some special cake for our members.
The High Sheriff of Essex, Dr James Bettley, was a guest and presented awards to six students for their artwork, with the work of two of the award winners being entered into a competition run by the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA), with the winning entries in that competition being included in the RBA’s annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London.
Pictured from left to right are Sophie Smith, the High Sheriff, Alison Galvin-Wright (TAS Trustee), Lynda Milne (Young Arts Rep) and Hannah Drague.
Also pictured are the High Sheriff and TAS Trustee Alison Galvin-Wright, cutting the cake.
