After a lot of planning and some nerves we were delighted to hold our first lecture of the season in our new home, Tennants Garden Rooms in Leyburn. After a charming welcome from Rodney Tennant, Caroline Knight spoke about Grinling Gibbons and there was a large audience who enjoyed the lecture in comfortable surroundings. Many had come for lunch or coffee first and all appreciated the experience that Tennants can offer. We are pleased to be making this move in our 20th year, and, if the number of guests and new members at our first lecture is anything to go by, hopefully securing a successful future for The Arts Society Wensleydale. After 7 years on the committee, 6 as Chair, I'm handing over to Susan Rumsey to take us forward into the next decade. Here we are with our new banner, featuring the work of local artist Janet Rawlins.
