Welcome to The Arts Society Monmouthshire
The Monmouthshire Branch of the Arts Society - founded in 2002 as NADFAS - is a member society of The Arts Society. The centre of our activities is Abergavenny.
Our objectives are the promotion and advancement of the aesthetic education of the public, the cultivation, appreciation and study of the decorative and fine arts, and the giving of aid to the preservation of our national heritage for the benefit of the public.
We fulfill our objectives by:-
- the arrangement of Lectures for Members of the Society a comprehensive list of lectures can be found at www.artssocietymonmouthshire.org
- the arrangement of Days of Special Interest, occasional Overseas trips, Outings and visits to private houses, museums, exhibitions and other places of interest for members of the Society.
- the arrangement of related activities of an Educational character for children and other members of the public.
- the arrangement of voluntary Preservation and Recording work by its members in relation to the decorative and fine arts.
Membership is open to any adult. We meet on the second Thursday of every month (excluding August) at The Gateway Christian Centre, Monk Street, Abergavenny NP7 5ND. Lectures are held promptly at 11.00
