• James Vaux will give a talk on SCANDINAVIAN MODERN: BEHIND THE SCENES

In the 1950's Scandinavian Modern design took America and Europe by storm.  This lecture examines the roots of this 19th century design reform and the creation of modern classics.  It also shows how this design became a key propoganda tool of the Nordic social democratic  project until well into the 1960's.
