Lois Oliver will give a talk on - ROSA BONHEUR

ANIMAL PAINTER EXTRAODINAIRE

One of the most celebrated artists of her time, French painter Rosa Bonheur had an extraordinary gift for painting animals, bringing her international fame and recognition.  She was the first woman to be awarded the Legion d'honneur.  She defied convention by dressing as a man so she could study at livestock sales.
