Arguably the most influential artist of the second half of 20thC.
Because he is so influential on today’s art we tend to think of him as a much more recent artist than in fact he was. Duchamp was born in 1887 and started out as a member of the Cubist group. He is arguably the most influential artist of the second half of 20thC being credited with paving the way for conceptual art and postmodernism. We’ll look at the whole of this fascinating and elusive artist’s career. If you think Grayson Perry was the first to use cross-dressing in their work think again.
