A day on the Rialto, its buildings, merchants and their wares.
Wealthy Venetians had access to luxury goods from far and wide, the Islamic East and Northern Europe. This lecture evokes a day on the Rialto, its buildings, its merchants and their wares. It examines how Venetians displayed their purchases later in their homes.
