Welcome to The Arts Society North Bucks

The Arts Society North Bucks was launched in 2009. Currently we have about 200 members and enjoy a lively programme of monthly lectures on a wide variety of arts-related topics, plus two Special Interest Days exploring a subject in more depth. In addition we arrange at least two visits to exhibitions or places of interest each year; a short members' holiday, either at home or abraod is offered in alternate years.. Our lectures are held in Lovat Hall, Newport Pagnell, where we meet on the second Thursday of each month (except in July and August); coffee is served from 10.15-10:50a.m., and the lecture is at 11.00a.m., lasting for about an hour. Details of our lectures are shown in Events below.

Please Note: On Thursday 12th September, our lecture will be held at a different venue - The Holiday Inn, London Road, Milton Keynes East MK16 0JA. Please see the details of this Event below for directions to the venue.

Members of the Society come from the city of Milton Keynes and the many towns and villages in North Bucks, including Bletchley, Newport Pagnell, Olney, Stony Stratford and Wolverton.  Guests and potential new members are very welcome to lectures: just come along if you like the look of our programme, or contact Yve Morris, our Membership Secretary (see email address below) for more information. For a modest annual subscription, you can attend as many lectures as you wish.

The Society has an active, enthusiastic group of church recorders, now operating under the auspices of the Church Recording Society. We are currently recording All Saints Church, Emberton, near Olney. You can find out more about this volunteering activity at www.churchrecordingsociety.org.uk
