Newick and District Decorative and Fine Arts Society was founded in 1985 to serve the village of Newick and surrounding areas. It is a Member Society of the Arts Society (formerly NADFAS).
The Society meets for lectures on the second Tuesday of the month (except August and September) at Plumpton Green Village Hall, BN7 3BQ. Doors open at 1:30 pm for registration and the lecture commences at 2:15 pm. Tea and biscuits are served at the end of the meeting.
Guests are welcome to attend lectures upon payment of £7 at the door. For Visits and Special Interest Days, guests may be permitted at the organiser's discretion and depending on available places.
Our Society brings people together through a shared curiosity for the arts.
Our events provide welcoming places to hear expert lecturers share their specialist knowledge about the arts.
Our members contribute to and preserve our artistic heritage through volunteering and grants.
Our work creates a better, healthier and more connected society.
