Welcome to The Arts Society Gravesend
Welcome to The Arts Society Gravesend
We meet in the Masonic Hall, Wrotham Road, Gravesend. DA11 OPA
The Arts Society Gravesend was formed so that people who enjoy learning about all aspects of the arts could get together and hear high quality lectures given by experts in their chosen field. Today, 30 years on from that first meeting, we still aim to inform and inspire our members with talks on subjects as diverse as the fine arts, sculpture, photography, architecture, jewellery, ceramics, glassware, textiles, dance, music and so much more - the list is endless!
During the year we also arrange visits to places of interest, events and occasional tours of the UK and abroad.
Our members not only come for the lectures - they enjoy the friendly and lively atmosphere and we pride ourselves on offering a warm welcome to newcomers.
We would be delighted to see new faces at our lectures so if you think you would be interested in what we are offering, why not join us one morning? Contact our membership secretary on 07847 361756 or email our chairman on gravesend@theartssociety.org
The fee for a visitor to one of our lectures is £10.00
You can also contact us at info@theartssocietygravesend.org.uk
Lectures begin at 11 a.m. Coffee and tea are available from 10.15a.m. We ask that everyone is seated at 10.50 for notices so we can ensure that lectures start on time.
We meet on the second Tuesday in the month except in August or December when there are no meetings.
The annual membership fee for 2023 – 2024 is £60.00. We do offer a pro rata rate for anyone who joins during the year.
