Visit to the Gravesend Gurdwara
18 Feb 2026
Twenty-four members of The Arts Society enjoyed a guided visit to the Gravesend Gurdwara on Tuesday 20th January 2026.
The visit included a guided tour, a talk and the opportunity to ask questions. We learned about the beliefs, practices and values of the Sikh religion as well as admiring the beautiful building itself. In keeping with the Sikh principles of service, hospitality and community, we were invited to eat delicious food prepared by volunteers in the ‘Langar’ (community kitchen). We would like to express our gratitude to the Gurdwara volunteers who facilitated our visit, and also to Committee member Pam Childs-Kelly for organising the visit on our behalf.
