This lecture looks at Vita's life and the extraordinary garden she created

The Arts and Crafts gardens movement in the late nineteenth century, created in particular by Sir Edwin Lutyens and Gertrude Jekyll, set a standard against which English gardens would be measured for the next 60 years.

This lecture focuses on Vita Sackville-West and the extraordinary garden she created at Sissinghurst Castle in Kent, which 60 years after her death continutes to charm and delight visitors.
