Grant is an Independent Fine Art Advisor, Private Curator, Representative and Presenter. He is the Founder and Owner of Grant Ford Limited, International Fine Art Advisory & Valuation Services, based in Marlborough, Wiltshire. Since 2007, Grant has been a senior paintings specialist for the BBC's Antique Roadshow in the UK and is particularly well known in the field of Victorian, Pre-Raphaelitism, Irish, Scottish, Sporting and European Art. He was responsible for Sotheby’s Victorian Art Department (2001-2016), as well as being a Senior Director and Head of British & Irish Art Post 1850. Grant spent 30 years at Sotheby’s and now represents prestigious family and private collections. He is particularly well known for guiding and advising private sellers and buyers in the complex global art market. He is also a regular guest lecturer in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada and elsewhere and has written extensively for multiple publications.
