Our Society brings together people who have an interest in and enjoy the arts in general.
In our core programme of monthly lectures, we hear specialists in their field, speak on a wide variety of topics: architecture, artists and designers, china, glass, painting, music, furniture, sculpture, jewellery…covering pre-history, to modern times.
Our visits programme may include country houses, exhibitions, gardens and other places of interest… occasional Study Days allow a chosen subject to be covered in greater detail.
Our cultural holidays have included tours to Emilia Romagna, Liverpool, Puglia, Glasgow, Krakow, Classical Sicily, Madrid, and the gardens of Normandy!
Our Society contributes to the preservation of our artistic culture through volunteering and grants, specifically in support of the Young Arts, Heritage and Church Recording.
