Welcome to Bishop’s Stortford DFAS

It is with much regret that, following Government advice and that of The Arts Society, we had to cancel the lectures arranged between April and July plus the Special Interest Day in August. Planned outings in May and June were also cancelled. However, we are pleased to advise that the remaining booked lectures will now take place online using the Zoom platform. Look out for further information about this in our fortnightly Newsletters.

*About our Society*

The Bishops Stortford DFAS was formed in 1976. It is a registered charity and a member society of The Arts Society, a leading arts education charity with a global network of over 380 local societies, bringing people together through a shared curiosity for the arts.
Our events provide opportunities to hear expert lecturers share their specialist knowledge about the arts. For our current programme visit our website https://www.tasbs.org.uk/
Our venue at the South Mill Arts provides excellent technical facilities and a chance to share a coffee with friends.
We also seek to be part of our local community through our Young Arts initiatives, working closely with primary and senior schools to support creative projects.
In addition to our monthly lectures we run 2 Special Interest Days, in January and in August. These days begin at 10.30am and comprise 3 lectures and include lunch. We also organize a number of visits through the year.
