Visit to the Christmas Lights at Kew
7 Dec 2022
The Arts Society Maidenhead visited the Christmas lights at Kew Gardens on Tuesday 29th November. It proved to be very popular and we had a full coach with 38 members and guests on board. We arrived at the Elizabeth Gate and disembarked straight into the gardens.
We then formed small groups to view all the spectacular lighting displays, each with background Christmas music that added even more charm to the exhibition. The Trail was well lit and easy to follow with plenty of little stalls where you could buy mulled wine or Prosecco, together with light food and other tasty treats. There was a main restaurant which you had to book in advance, a large food village with outside tables, and finally a restaurant at the end of the Trail within the main souvenir shop. It was a cold evening but not a drop of rain in sight.
Definitely a magical trip enjoyed by everyone.
