TASW support for Wensleydale School print workshop

26 Jan 2019

Year 11 GCSE pupils at Wensleydale School took part in a special whole day screen-printing workshop financed by a grant from The Arts Society Wensleydale (TASW). Art Teacher Louise Webb introduced new fabric printing techniques and encouraged the students to explore their own ideas in depth. She said: “Thanks to this kind donation we were able to buy specialist materials. The work will enrich pupils coursework portfolio, which the GCSE Art moderator praised last year in her report.”

Jenny Haywood, of the Arts Society said: “Along with providing first-rate lectures and visits, TASW has a strong commitment to Young Arts. We are pleased to support the innovative work of Louise and her pupils for a second year.”
