FEAR, FASHION AND DESIGN IN THE COLD WAR: TALK AT THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES
Drawing on issues including nuclear anxiety and technological optimism, this event explores how the conditions of the Cold War influenced fashion and design. Presented by Jane Parvitt, Professor of Design and Architectural History at Kingston University, the talk looks at the works of designers from Louis Réard to Pierre Cardin.
