NEW ART PROJECT BRINGs CREATIVITY AND CONNECTION TO OLDER ADULTS
NEW ART PROJECT BRINGs CREATIVITY AND CONNECTION TO OLDER ADULTS
4 Sep 2025
The Arts Society Appleby in Westmorland are pleased to announce an exciting new community project for older adults who receive care at home.
In partnership with Eden Country Care Ltd, who are kindly supporting the project by providing carers, we’ll be running a series of creative workshops this autumn. We are especially grateful for the generous grant from The Arts Society HQ in London, which has made this project possible.
The theme “The Changing Seasons in the Local Landscape” will guide the sessions, where participants can explore collage, painting, drawing and more. Together, they will create a collaborative artwork for public display.
This project is about more than art: it’s about creativity, companionship and well-being. It offers older members of our community the opportunity to express themselves, enjoy shared experiences and contribute to something both lasting and inspiring.
We look forward to sharing the finished artwork with the community later this year.
