Saying YES to a cup of tea!
Beware the siren call of an invitation for a cup of tea and cake… with a mouthful of delicious sponge cake I found myself mumbling yes… and so began my journey as Honorary Treasurer of the Great Ouse Valley Arts Society.
And what a journey. Rekindled friendships and new friends, hurdles and challenges and a monthly visit to worlds unknown. Worlds of art and artists, beauty and turmoil, high endeavour and low cunning, passion and genius brought to us through the art they left behind and made real by wonderful speakers whose enthusiasm is often inspirational.
As a scientist the journey has been a revelation and a joy. My world is so much richer for saying yes.
