22 Oct 2022
With the help of a grant from The Arts Society Patricia Fay Memorial fund, Brighton Youth Centre in partnership Windmill Young Actors brought a 21st Centuary spin to Shakespeare's "Romeo & Juliet". Performed at Hollingdean Skatepark as part of Brighton Festival 2022, the performance was a mix of Shakespear's words with rap and co-created by 55 young people from Brighton.
Brighton Youth Centre works with young people from all backgrounds, circumstances and ages with a particular focus on the 13 – 19 age group. They work in partnership with Windmill Young Actors to provide weekly acting classes for children, teenagers and young adults at the centre.
