Blenheim Palace and Softer: Jenny Holzer
29 Nov 2017
Our Winter trip was to the World Heritage site: Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire. A full coach of members and friends enjoyed a cold, bright day at Blenheim with a fabulous Guide who swept us away to the fabulous world of the Vanderbilts, the Dukes of Marlborough and the Churchills. We also enjoyed the current exhibition SOFTER: Jenny Holzer at Blenheim Palace, (a solo exhibition by American artist Jenny Holzer) who created new work for the exhibition directly addressing our military and political history in relation to themes which have figured prominently in her practice since the 1980s: power, conflict and activism..very interesting and a conversation point! As always, a full and social day !
