Gaze upon masterpieces from Buckingham Palace

From Titian to Canaletto, Vermeer to Van Dyck, Masterpieces from Buckingham Palace brings together 65 paintings that usually hang in the palace’s Picture Gallery. For two years, visitors will be able to experience these canvases up close and contextualised in terms of the royal collecting strategy, while the gallery is being refurbished. Its holdings were originally formed when George III and Queen Charlotte acquired Buckingham House in 1762, before George IV commissioned architect John Nash to create a grand space befitting the astounding arrangement of Dutch, Flemish and Italian works.
