Hamza is incredibly full of energy and enthusiasm about wildlife and photography. At his recent one-man show 'My Life behind the Lens' at the St Alban Arena he bounced about the stage talking of ringing birds, photographing polar bears in the Canadian Arctic, the baby African elephant who adopted him but gave him ticks, many birds of prey some of whom had been given names, and Zombie spiders!
Taking us from Sudan to Bangor then Scotland, we now know how to get into the profession - spoiler alert, it's practise, knowing your animals and your camera, and persistence! He made sure we knew that it's not just him - it wouldn't be possible without a team and the guides.
Organised by The Arts Society Welwyn Garden as a pop-up visit - where members make their own way to the venue - we are grateful that the TASWG Committee spotted this event very early on. It meant we had fantastic seats at the front of a sell-out event. It was very enjoyable - although it was a shame we weren't allowed to take photos!
