Brontë Parsonage Museum

Wander through the historic rooms, listening out for the creaks and sighs of the old house after dark – and perhaps a tread on the stair. There’ll be a spooky storyteller on hand for those seeking an extra thrill.

Strawberry Hill
To visit Strawberry Hill is to wander around the deliciously macabre imagination of Horace Walpole: 18th-century father of modern horror, who launched his own Gothic revival a century before the Victorians. It’s a particularly special moment for the house; a new exhibition, Lost Treasures of Strawberry Hill, reunites the paintings, sculptures and curios that were dispersed after Walpole’s death. This candle-lit tour takes you through some of the strange objects in his collection, for one night only.
