TRAILS OF DISCOVERY
Trails of Discovery are a creative way to explore the art, culture and history of your local area and share what you discover with others. You could create a trail around an historic building, garden, museum, place of worship, railway branch line, town or village - there are endless possibilities.
You don’t have to do it alone. Work with a small team, partner with a friend, or bring together people from your local community to create a trail that will spark curiosity and encourage people of all ages to explore and learn.
Trails can also be adapted to make them accessible for children with additional learning needs and people living with memory loss, helping more people enjoy and connect with their local heritage.
No previous experience is needed - just curiosity, enthusiasm and an interest in your local area.
