RUN FOR ART
3 Jun 2018
Florian Schweizer, Chief Executive of The Arts Society, just ran his first 10K in continental Europe, conquering Waterloo but running 13K through the historical battlefield where on 18 June 1815, 15km away from Brussels, the allied troops, under the command of the Duke of Wellington and Field Marshal Blücher, came face to face with Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte's French army. This world-famous battle would play a decisive role in European history.
He then addressed the members and guests at the lecture Art: A Detective Story which Lydia Baumen captivated the young students from the Brussels International Catholic School and members from Art for Everyone. The last lecture of the season was surely a challenging event which brought lovers of art together, with the enhanced presence of Wang and Lady Jane Choy from The Hague. A memorable event worthy of the Arts Society.
