Founding president of The Arts Society Huntingdon has died aged 84

The committee recorded with regret the death on 8 January of Lady Hemingford, founder Chairman and then President of the Huntington Society.

Jenny Hemingford provided unobtrusive leadership and support over many years. She started and encouraged all the volunteering activities of the Society, her own particular interest being the restoration and creation of church embroideries. Her contribution was very great and much appreciated and she will be remembered with respect and affection.
