Register Interest - HARRIS MUSEUM & ART GALLERY

We are looking to arrange a day trip to the recently reopened Harris Museum in Preston.

Once we have enough interest, we can book the trip so please register your interest at a meeting or by emailing: bowdonmain@outlook.com. 

The proposed itinerary is:

Leave the Bowdon Rooms at 9.30am, travelling by coach to The Harris arriving 11am.

On arrival - tea/coffee and an introduction from the curator.

1st guided tour - THE GALLERIES

Lunch with a buffet included

2nd guided tour -  BEHIND THE SCENES

Free time to see other exhibitions, the library, cafe, shop etc..

Leave the Museum at 4pm, aiming to be back in Bowdon at around 5.15pm.

The all-inclusive cost would be approx. £40 pp. Max group size is 35.

Accessibility

Coach: Three to four steps from kerb to coach

The Harris Museum:

• Step-free access

• Internal lifts to all public floors

• Accessible entrance via the Lancaster Road ramp

• Limited fold-up seats available to borrow from Reception during tours

• The Egyptian Gallery has 4 flights of stairs, so may not be suitable for visitors with mobility issues
