Tucked away in the heart of Palma’s Old Town, Can Vivot is one of the city’s most remarkable historic houses – and a rare example of a palace that has remained in family ownership for centuries.

With origins dating back to the 14th century, the house was enlarged and transformed over generations, acquiring its present Baroque character between 1683 and 1711. The result is an extraordinary ensemble of architecture, art and furnishings that has survived remarkably intact.

During our visit, we’ll explore the beautiful Baroque courtyard, grand staircase and historic rooms, with their frescoes, paintings, books and original furniture. Among the most fascinating aspects of Can Vivot is that this is not a museum furnished for display: it is a private family home, still partly lived in today, with its history preserved in the very rooms where generations of the family lived.
