Discover the history, art and everyday life of one of Mallorca’s most charming mountain villages

Join us on an outing to Alaró, the picturesque village at the foot of the Tramuntana, combining history, art and local life.

We’ll begin with a visit to the impressive church of Sant Bartomeu, which dominates the village’s main square. Dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, the church is home to a number of fascinating Baroque treasures, including its remarkable marble altarpiece and historic organ.

Afterwards, we’ll explore the village, with time to browse the local market and visit a contemporary art gallery. There will also be an opportunity to discover some of Alaró’s historic streets and buildings and get a feel for this lively, unspoilt Mallorcan community.

We’ll round off the morning with lunch at a traditional celler – the perfect setting to enjoy some of Mallorca’s traditional cuisine and the convivial atmosphere of a village gathering place.

A relaxed day of culture, art, local traditions and good food – and a chance to discover Alaró beyond the better-known route to its famous hilltop castle.
