Thurs 18th Feb - Neo-Impressionism and New Experiments

Explore how Georges Seurat and Paul Signac revolutionised colour and composition and how Paul Cézanne became ‘the mother and father of modern art’.

Thurs 25th Feb - Expression and Imagination: Post-Impressionism

Follow Vincent van Gogh and Paul Gauguin and their circles as they moved beyond observation toward expressive colour, symbolism and personal vision.

Thurs 4th Mar - Sculpture, the Aesthetic Movement and Japonisme

Discover Auguste Rodin’s dynamic sculptures and James McNeill Whistler’s startling explosions of colour and see how Japanese prints reshaped European art and interiors.

Weds 10th Mar - Art Nouveau and Secessionism at the turn of the century

From Alphonse Mucha, Aubrey Beardsley and Charles Rennie Mackintosh to the golden images of Gustave Klimt.
